This 1 Day Mount Bisoke Volcano hiking tour package is designed for both experienced mountain climbers and beginners. Mount Bisoke is a volcano found in the Virunga ranges that include Rwanda’s volcanoes national park and Congo’s Virunga National Park. It reaches a height of 12,175 feet and was created as a result of earth movements around the East African Rift Valley.
Depending on your location in Kigali city, you will be met by your tour guide/driver as early as 5 am to set off to Volcanoes National park-home to the remaining mountain gorillas in the world, connect directly to the park headquarters for hiking registration and a briefing about the activity as early as 7 am, you will then be allocated the ranger guides and you head for the hike.
The hike is strenuous and challenging so you need to be physically fit to do this hike, its takes about 3-5 hours to reach the top with very beautiful and rewarding magnificent views of the forest and Crater lake at the top of the volcano which is totally worth the effort. After reaching the peak, check out the beautiful views and take as many photos as possible. You will then descend back reaching down where you will meet your driver guide.
You can either have lunch here or directly transfer back to Kigali city. Depending on your departure flight or location, your driver will drop you off.
