This 3 days chimpanzee trekking takes you to Nyungwe forest national park to watch primates in their natural habituate. The chimpanzee trekking experience can be accompanied bycanopy walk and in east Africa it can only be done in Rwanda.
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Upon your arrival, safari guide will meet you at your hotel or at the Kigali International airport and drive you to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. On your way you will visit Nyanza, the former Mwami’s (King’s) and the National Museum at Butare, the national museum at Butare is one of the finest ethnographic museums in East Africa.
Have lunch and later drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park where you will have the chance to see a variety of wildlife living in the forest. Later in the evening you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk
After breakfast you will set off into the forest; very early in the morning, to track chimpanzees. You will have the best opportunity to encounter humankind’s closest living relative in the early morning hours. This time will also give you a higher chance to encounter other animals and bird species in this park, on finding them observe their way of life take pictures and videos. Later return to the lodge for lunch.
Head for your canopy walk activity where you will view different animal species and beautiful landscape. After the walk you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
Day 3: Departure
Return to Kigali, after breakfast you will check out and drive back to Kigali for an outbound flight for home.
