Day 1: Arrive and hotel transfer
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you will meet the guide who will transfer you to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will do a city tour to introduce you to the history and culture of this country of a thousand hills and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center. Overnight and dinner at your hotel. (Hotel chezlando)
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
Early morning enjoy your breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to the western province, have a stopover on your way to visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province. After lunch continue with your drive to Nyungwe National Park. The drive is approximately 550km which takes 4 – 5 hours of driving. Retire at your lodge for dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trek and canopy walk
Today,you are at the hight of the 5 days primate safari in Rwanda. While on your visit will see a number of primates including the chimpanzees who are the residents of the Forest plus other 13 primates, you go to the park office before heading to trek chimpanzee for briefing about the dos and donts while with chimpanzees.
Return to the lodge for lunch, after Lunch head for the canopy walk at Uwinka enjoy viewing the wildlife above as you listen to the sweet songs in the sky, the trees canopies themselves offers one a fantastic forest view later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Monkey tracking and tea plantation visit
After breakfast, embark on the journey for colobus monkey tracking and visit the tea plantation where you will enjoy the scenic beauty of the area and later head to Kibuye along the Kivu Lake you will have a fantastic view of the country of a thousand hills. Overnight and dinner at Bethany Hotel.
Day 5: Boat cruise and departure
After Breakfast, enjoy the boat ride on the beautiful lake and visit different islands in the Kivu lake, and visit the environmental museum in Kibuye before heading to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
